Privacy Statement

  1. Identity of the Responsible. HOTELERA CARCUR SA DE CV and its affiliates and/or subsidiaries (hereafter, Hotel Everest), located in Cristobal Colon Nte. Num 126, Zona Centro in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico, is a company committed to protect your privacy. Our Data Protection Responsible is the Personal Data Department and is located in the same address, you can contact them at:
  • Personal Data. For the purposes mentioned in the current Privacy Notice, Hotel Everest can collect your personal data through different means. When the information is given directly by you; when you visit the Hotel’s websites, when you use the services offered online by Hotel Everest and when we collect information from other means different to the ones mentioned before and allowed by law. The personal data collected by those mentioned means, are:
  1.  Identification data: name(s), surname (s), address, home phone number, cellphone or work phone number, civil status, signature, email, gender, age, birthdate, user and password.
  2. Financial data: cardholder name, credit card number, expiration date (in case of online transactions).
  3. Billing data: name or business name, RFC, tax address.
  4. Preferences: related to the room, required services and/or travel preferences.
  • Sensitive personal data. Those considered sensitive personal data are those that affect the most intimate sphere of its owner or those which improper use can lead to discrimination or a serious risk. Particularly, those that can reveal aspects like racial or ethnic origin, current and future health, genetic information, religious, philosophical and moral beliefs, union affiliations, political opinions and sexual preferences. In case of staying in any of our hotels, the sensitive personal data we will request will be that regarding the health or different capacities and it will be used to give you a better service and satisfy your specific needs.
  • Purpose and Use of the Personal Data.

Purposes that lead to the legal relationship and are necessary to provide the service:

  1. The personal information you give us will be used by Hotel Everest to deliver the services you request or that are part of any program you’ve sign up for or a purchase you’ve made; reservations, purchase of vacation packages, vacation club membership, affiliation to our loyalty programs, event organization, purchase of products and/or tourist services.
  2. Hotel Everest can use the personal information you’ve given us to offer a better service and, in its case, identify your preferences during your stay and make it more pleasant.

Purposes that do not lead to a legal relationship nor are necessary to deliver the service:

  1. We can use the information to offer you promotions and tourist and commercial products, mailing, special services, informative newsletters, surveys, raffles and other online resources.
  • Limitation to the Use and Disclosure of Personal Information. You can express your negative for the purposes that do not lead to a legal relationship nor are necessary to deliver the service at any moment, or, revoke the consent you have given to use your personal data through a request that should be presented by writing to the Personal Data Department, to the following address: Cristóbal Colón Nte. Num. 126 Zona Centro, en Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, México, from 9 to 14 hours, Monday to Friday, or via email at:  Such request must include, at least, the following: (i) name of the personal data owner; (ii) email to receive notifications; (iii) documents that validate your identity or the owner’s legal representation; (iv) clear and precise description of the personal data you want to exercise your right for and which right you want to exercise; (v) any other element or document that facilitates the localization of the personal data. In case the request does not satisfy any of the previously mentioned requirements, the Personal Data Department can require those within a 5-day period after receiving the request. You will have 10 days to answer to this requirement and in case of not answering within this period, the request will not we fulfilled. The periods of attention will be of up to 20 days counted from the date we receive your request to communicate the adopted determination and if it results precedent it will be effective within the 15 days that follow the emission of the answer. With the purpose of protecting your confidentiality, Hotel Everest will send the answer to the email you’ve given for such purpose.
  • Exercise of the Rights to Access, Rectify, Cancel and Oppose. The access, rectification, cancellation or opposition regarding the information you give to Hotel Everest can be made through a request directed to Hotel Everest, in terms of the established in the section E, and will be answered as it is stated there.
  • Control and Security of the Personal Information. Hotel Everest commits to take the necessary measures to protect the collected information, using security technologies and control procedures in the access, use or disclosure of your personal information without authorization, for example, storing the personal information in servers located in Data Centers that have controls of limited access. For online transactions, we also use security technologies that protect the personal information, including a safe server under the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. Nevertheless, no security or data transmission system in which the company has no absolute control and/or depends on the internet can guarantee total security.
  • Electronic means and cookies. In the hypothetical case that you use electronic means in relation with your personal data, the cookies will be generated with the purpose of offering a better service. The cookies are small pieces of information sent by the website to your browser. The cookies are stored in the hard drive of your computer and used to determinate your preferences when you connect to the services of our websites, as well as to track some behaviors or activities inside our websites. In some sections of our website, we require the client to enable the cookies since some of the functions in the website required them to work.   1. Changes in this Privacy Notice. Hotel Everest can update this privacy notice at any moment. In case there are substantial changes, we will communicated them through this website. Considering this, we suggest you to visit this privacy notice periodically so you can be informed of any update.
